Our Artists
Our Artists
Every piece in our glass and crystal collection is hand-blown and hand-cut by master Czech artisans. Meet the two makers behind the work.
Lukáš Jabůrek
Lukáš Jabůrek originally set out to become an architect, until a formative encounter with the glassworks at the art school in Nový Bor set him on a different path. He went on to serve as Artistic Director at the historic Moser glassworks and as curator of the Moser Art Gallery in Prague, alongside international residencies with Les Cristalleries de Saint-Louis in France, the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, and Glas Centrum Leerdam in the Netherlands. His work has received the Czech Grand Design Public’s Choice Award, the Czech Ministry of Culture Award, and top placements at the Glass Cutting World Cup, and is held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and the Moravian Gallery in Brno. He has completed commissioned work for Pilsner Urquell, Prague Castle, and UNICEF, and continues to work from his studio in Klášterec nad Ohří, Czech Republic.
Jiří Pačínek JR
Jiří Pačínek JR carries on a family tradition of Czech glassmaking from northern Bohemia, having first worked with glass as a child in his father’s glass factory. He trained formally at the glass school in Nový Bor, and later furthered his craft internationally, attending courses twice at The Glass Furnace in Istanbul, Turkey. That grounding in traditional technique, paired with international training, shows in the scale and precision of his sculptural work — from the naturally-forming patterns of the Vein Collection to gallery-sized statement pieces like the Clear Hubert and Horse Head sculptures. Many works are custom-made to size and finished with 24k gold detailing, and the largest commissions, like the Bull Chandelier, are built as centerpiece installations for grand interiors.
